    Hey All,

I would really appreciate your input on this situation.

On 10/2, I noticed a CCB chargeoff had been re-inserted on my TU file. I planned to wait the 5 days out for a notice.

On 10/9 I noticed two Providian chargeoffs were re-inserted. I decided to wait the 5 days and include CCB on my fax to them regarding the reinsertions.

Well, I emailed Ms. Craig on 10/17/2003, left two voicemails, faxed their office, left a voicemail for Mr. Munger and spoke with another rep in the Dept. The rep told me he would take care of CCB, but because Providian had re-reported with a different subscriber #, they couldn't remove the chargeoffs. WTF!! The accounts #'s are the same. Anyway, he said he would research the Providian accounts further and call me. He didn't and the CCB account remains also.

    For proof I have:

The report prior to my investigation showing the Providian accounts,

The printout that TransUnion provides showing that I disputed the Providian accounts as not mine in 4/2002,

The results showing the accounts were removed,

The results showing the CCB account removed in 11/2002.

And an updated report from this month. (The report shows all of the open dates as accurate, but for all three the closed date says 9/2003!!! This is absolutely inaccurate [The two Providians were CO in 8/2001 and CCB CO in 11/2000]. Is this consider re-aging??!! I'm sure my TU FICO has tanked because it looks as if I just acquired these chargeoffs.)

Who can I speak with at TU that will actually respond to me. So far, they've been VERY unhelpful and downright rude by not returning my calls.

Do I have a legal leg to stand on? Does the law of re-insertion apply to the Providian accounts although they changed their subscriber # and "snuck" the accounts back on my file? Is it likely that TU is at fault seeing how both of the Providian's and CCB show the SAME closing date as 9/2003?

Please help!! I'm so mad right now and crossing my fingers that Chase or any of my other prime cards don't do a AR on TU and choose to lower my limit or worse close my account!

    Are you CBC or TU?

Anyway, try to call and ask for a supevisor. Be nice and explain the situation. Tell him/her what you told me and I bet you will get somewhere. These people are just that....people! They get tired of hearing people scream and cuss and blame things on everyone but themselves. If you come across to them (like I have), as a stright shooter, and demonstrate that the accounts had another charge off date, they will help you. If you do not speak to someone who is receptive.....and trust me....you will know as soon as they speak....then just call back, you will eventually succeed.

    Yup,

    Hi SnakeMan,

Thanks for responding. I'm dealing with TU and the folks in the "Special Dept". Since posting, I've emailed all of the parties that I've contacted regarding this matter and hope to hear from them soon. If not, I think I may have no other choice but to file suit. I'm sure THAT will get their attention.
