Thanks. I'm still kind of in a state of shock. Just went to fill up my SUV. Gas prices across the street are $3.50 a gal. Geez! No more 87 octane at the station I just came from. Luckily it's still $1.34. I'm scared to go to sleep. Both kids are in the bed with me. I'm just praying....hopefully I'll pray myself to sleep.
Here in Cleveland, we've been in a state of emergency since 11:30 this morning. The mayor had everyone downtown evacuated and all government buildings and public schools closed. It is reported that the Coast Guard will be on high alert tonight, patroling Lake Erie as well as around all major cities on the Great Lakes, Buffalo, Detroit, Chicago, etc. My prayers go out to everyone and hope that all sleep tight. I would like to express my heart felt prayers to all of you that may have been affected by this tragic event, and for the thousands of people I don't know. I think the angels were very busy today escorting those taken to the arms of the father. Who is waiting to cradle them in his arms of love.
yup - I remember the earthquake - and I clearly remember the footage of the card driving across the bridge at record speed and then dropping down to the other bottom level. of course I remember and still get nausaus when thinking about the Cypress. First, let me say how relieved I am to hear from those of you who have heard from loved ones. I am praying for all of those who have family and friends there as I am for all involved. I am watching ABC. Just heard the phone call from the mother of one of the victims in the plane that crashed in PA. How she had the strength to call and talk about the call her son made from the plane. Also, saw the story about the two girls and their mother looking for their father and their dog. Their father ran a restaurant in the WTC. The desperately were looking all over for him. They finally found him. How heartwrenching is that?! It breaks my heart!
