I have disputed with Experian and Transunion and they have verifed my medical collections, which are unpaid. They keep verifying them. They would not conduct any further investigations because they had been previously verified. I orignally disputed them as "not mine." Now, in order to start another reinvestigation, I disputed them as "paid, never late." Will this look bad on my part? I also sent validation letters to the CA requesting proof of this debt. I just hope I am not in any trouble because of the difference in dispute reasons. The medical collections are almost five years old, so I doubt they have proof. Just hope I didn't screw up anything. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
well, first - step back and take a deep breath. slow down before you make it too obvious. read some of the posts on validation and SOL's and that should give you an idea of when and where to start. don't get yourself in trouble trying to remove something. our idea of verifiying a debt and the CRA's idea are two very different things. they contact the creditor who says "yep its theres" and the CRA's say "okey dokey".
