Recently had the local banker pull my husbands credit report from Trans Union. On it under collections was a company called Coldata. Its says verified 7/99 Balance $2928 Remarks Wells Fargo verified 11/00A Balance $3220 Remarks placed for collection. Under the heading Trades it says Wells Fargo. Under verified Clsd/PD 2/95. Also under verified it says 7/95 Purchased by other lender. I though that the Wells Fargo would drop off this year. Will it since this Coldata purchased it? Exactly when did they purchase it? We haven't made a payment or had any contact with them since 1995 and have never had any contact with Coldata. We had no idea that this had even been sold to another lender. Can we get this Coldata info deleted? Can we get both Coldata and Wells Fargo deleted? How do I go about this? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Do you have an old credit report or and old bill or letter from Wells Fargo showing the original date of delinquency? If so, send letters to Coldata and Wells Fargo, tell the they are reaging the account, you have proof, please remove it immediately. Send the CRA your proof, and a letter telling them that Coldata is re-aging the debt, here is your proof, get it off immediately.
Coldata is a bunch of simple-minded morons. I sent them a validation letter last year to which they never replied, and just last week in the mail I get another collection notice from these boneheads! Don't they know they're messing around with possible legal action? Perhaps I should just sue the bastages...
I am involved in a class action lawsuit against them. If you have questions or would like to be part of the suit, let me know. ender510@yahoo.com
