Please help..Experian blowing smoke

    They keep verifying inaccurate information. I called and requested procedures used to verify...Names letters sent etc. I was told that they can only give that information to me through a court order. I know I am allowed to ask for procedures...... HELP!!!

    Send them a letter, same as you would a dispute. See the sample letters section for a sample procedure letter.

    Never call. 99.9% of the time the person answering does not know the law, and will tell you anything to get you off the phone.

    Don't know if this will help, but the text below was taken directly from their own website (specifically, from one of the screens for viewing investigation results):


    The federal Fair Credit Reporting Act provides that you may:


    â?¢ request a description of how we verified the information, including the business name and address contacted and the telephone number, if reasonably available (note: the name and address information also appears on your original credit report);


    ...and also:


    If you request it, we will provide you with the name and the address (and telephone number if available) of any creditor we contact. Or, you may refer to the initial copy of your personal credit report for this information.
