After disputing a wach TL with the CRA's, The TL came back verifed, I waited and sent a DV to the wachovia ( wachovia is the OC it was never assigned to a CO ), the 1st response from them was that they had received my request and were conducting an investigation of the account, that was about 1 week ago, well now I just received a letter from wachovia requestint my ssn# and a copy of the TL as it appears on my credit report. I'm not comfortable with providing them with this infomation, since they are reporting on EQ and EX, and even after disputing with the CRA it was come back verfied twice.( Yes, I did ask for validation of the debt, not verfication. .....Wachovia is giving me 15 day to respond or they will consider my request null/void......please help me respond to their letter. dell0316
Do you believe the TL is actually yours, or do you think someone else's account is misposted to your file, or there is identity theft?
Just send them a copy of the trade line as it appears in your credit report.. White out all info above and below that except the CRA name and your name if it is there etc..do not send ssn if they are in your report they must have right??how else coud they be there.??? When they do not validate properly and fail to put a statement in your report(it should be there now)" Debt is disputed by customer/consumer" you can then nail them with two violations. Of course if they are in your report and reporting wrong it belongs to someone else thats an other issue..
