I'm new here, a friend recommended me to this site for help. I am at my wits end with Experian. I had a report with Discover that was incorrect, I disputed it with both Experian and Trans Union. Trans Union fixed the report, Experian did not. So I contacted Experian and they said I had to take it up with Discover. Called Discover and they said the dispute was valid and if Trans Union corrected it, Experian should have also. Said they would re-submit the dispute to all three bureaus and to wait 30 days to check the status. Waited 30 days, called Experian and the report was *still* incorrect. Told them what Discover had said (that it should be corrected) and they said they would inquire about it and would send out an updated report in 30 days. Got the updated report and it is STILL incorrect. I have HAD IT with this runaround! What can I do?????
I had a problem with DISCOVERCARD too... DISCOVERCARD reported $17,500 OWED...100% MAXED...so I disputed it with the big 3 since I only owed $100 max...NOTHING HAPPENED...the next month still 100% MAXED...I owed like $50 or so...3rd month the same thing...owed like $90 or so DISCOVERCARD PUT "CONSUMER DISPUTES THIS ACCOUNT" Not the balance...THE WHOLE ACCOUNT!!! I called DISCOVERCARD...they said it would be ILLEGAL to report me 100% MAXED AND IT WOULD ALSO BE ILLEGAL TO REPORT THAT I DISPUTED THE ACCOUNT IF I DID NOT DISPUTE THE ACCOUNT!!! So they "WASHED THEIR HANDS OF IT" It is still that way on the credit reports...I call or write or send E-MAIL and it disappears for a while then it returns!!! CRA SAYS IT'S DISCOVERCARDS PROBLEM!!! DISCOVERCARD SAYS IT'S CRAS PROBLEM!!!
