I have been in dispute for several months over a collection agency called Marlin Intergrated Capital out of Glen Falls Ny, I called today to find out who accepts civil summons for legal action to find out they are actually NCO out of Horsham, Pa??? They gave me their address to send my suit out.

Anyone have any experience with NCO???

    Has anyone sued them??

What is the address you sent your suit to??

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks!

I think just about everyone here has dealt with NCO. They are the worst. I made the mistake before finding this board and settled a account this them before validation. I settled with them in June, and I have not zeroed the account out yet. It has been one month and I was told that it normally takes 14 days. I have talked their rude reps and the supv. Now I trying to contact the manaager. I've let messages but to no reply. I was told last week, that the letter of release would be faxed to me in 3-5 days. Now they are telling me that the account is still open. I have an appointment to see a loan officer Friday. And I need this letter. Is there another approach I can use with thie B@$%%rds. I hate them......

I called the NCO Credit Bureau Dispute Resolution Unit 800-221-0158 and got my paid collection deleted with no problems.

I know that I sound like their advocate (LOL) but it was just too easy. If I can get results by calling, I think someone else can too.

    Tac,

I'm right in the middle with them now. I sent them a validation letter in there Horsham PA ofc which they signed for the CRRR. Today was there last day to respond. I'm sending them a estoppel tommorow. Via fax# that is provided above. If I do not hear from them in 15 days. I will file suit against them. I have them on violations while in the validation process. This orgainization are the biggest bunch of scumbags you will ever want to encounter. I don't know how they stay in business. From what I read they are constantly in violation of the laws. I also have some other accounts listed under Marlin Intergrated which I just sent validation to them last week. they are all the same company (Marlin, Invovision, Medlr = NCO. If you call the phone number for all of these places they will answer NCO.
I wish there was a way I could get them burned for reporting the same accounts under different names. I wish I had proof to give before a judge.

I do as a matter of fact have a phone# and a name of the person in New York. I can't post right this second, because I don't have my files in front me, but I will post it for you tommorow.

Be sure to specifically point out there violations in the Estoppel. You WILL get an immediate response. I had to send the Estoppel to get a response saying they no longer have my account. I then faxed this letter to TU demanding immediate deletion.

    good luck

OMG.... There are some reliable people at NCO. I just called the Credit Dispute LIne, and spoke with a supervisor, and he told me that he didn't see what the problem was. He was faxing me my letter in the next 5-10 minutes and updating the info with the credit bureau.
My mouth totally dropped. I was really to fuss, but he was very helpful. If I didn't see this number on the board, I would have never known. Thanks......

    this board is the "BOMB"

NOW, not to beat a dead horse, fax a copy of this letter and a cover letter demanding deletion to the CRA's. This should guarantee immediate deletion, especially if it's TU.

Glad to hear of your success!!! :)

Even if this was a settled account. How can I dispute with CB to delete??? Under what reason do I ask for deletion.

Oops, didn't read all of your original post. BUT, depeneding on the CRA, I would say something like "This account is closed and has a $0 balance. Delete Immediately!" TU is notorious for just deleting account as opposed to updating them. This may work for EQ & EX. I think its worth a shot.

    Love,

I'm working on the letter today. I got called away so I had to stop composing it this morning, but I'm trying to finish it. I'm hoping on having it faxed over by the end of today or tommorow morning at the lastest. I need to make sure I have my violations straight. I think I'm going to post a thread asking for some help on that. I don't want to pirate tac's post.

it will be under" do I have violations right?"

    Love,
I'm sorry I misunderstood your post, no I did not call the number yet. I was going to fax over the estoppel letter to them, and see how that goes and If that was a bust I was going to call the number.

Forget it folks! I just spoke with Tom at the NCO Credit Bureau Dispute Resolution office and he is their standard horses a$$. NCO "is in partnership" with MEDCLR who is allegedly listed with Equifax as a valid Installment Creditor. Therefore, they will list all these accounts as installments.

When this was challenged as disputed, the very NEXT DAY in a VINDICTIVE step, they reported another "90-day late" on each account sending my DHs score from 593 to 438!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MEDCLR's alleged address is IDENTICAL to the NCO address I was given for filing a lawsuit!

I have just left a message for Robin Holland (her number has changed to (678)795-7800) and I hope that she can help! Next step, FTC and BBB complaints!

I called the post office today to check on the status of my certified/RR letter I sent to Marlin/NCO on the 21st of July. The postmaster said my letter was refused and is being sent back to me.

I just filed suit against NCO about 2 hrs. ago at my local courthouse. I don't have time to play games, they can come to court and explain their ignorance to the judge and myself.

My Court date is already set for August 8th, 2002 for 1:30pm. If anyone would like to see me make *******s out of them I live in Easton, PA. I would be glad to give anyone who also has a problem with NCO directions to the courthouse. Heck, if you testified on my behalf about their violations I will pay for the gas!

    Thanks for all the help!
