Please anyone that can give me guidance. I have been disputing several items on my Equifax.

    Most they did correctly. BUT!

There is a collection from Sprint, included in a 95 BK. They show a duplicate of this account, but with a different acct # & LAD, the date of reporting & balance is the same. There was only the one.

This last round I called on 8/2. About this item & 2 others. One is another duplicate account same status as the above.

No kidding I received the updated report in today's mail 8/6. They supposedly investigated, verified & mailed this to me in 4 days.

How do I get them to take these duplicate accounts off of my report?

On the results page they claim to have investigated 4 items I did not request & only one that I did.

Of the 4 they say one item was deleted due to duplicate. Actually it was a CC that there are two of. It was not deleted.

They say one item was verified that it belongs to me. Yet that has been deleted. Or am I not getting the full report?

    So confused.

If I am understanding you correctly, the cra "claimed" to verify something in a matter of a few days?

If so, ask them for the proceedures used to verify. They have 15 days to get the information to you. Send them a letter asap certified return receipt, asking them for names, phone numbers, addresses, ect. Remind them they have 15 days to get the information too you.

Let me guess, it has to be Experian? OR Trans Union.

    No actually this is Equifax.

Yes, isn't it amazing only 4 whole days to do all that & spend at least 2 days in the US Postal system. They are in GA & I am in FL.

Is that request for verification info the same as they provided on the Results of Investigation?

They had the Company name, number & address with account #.

What about the stuff they say they deleted, but didn't?

    Thanks,

    Becky
