Is there any way to improve the search feature here? Every time I search for something I get all sorts of posts containing those words that are not relevant to what i'm looking for. Is there any way to search the subject line only? Thanks
Re: Please help with the search fea Shirley, Can you give me a specific example of what you're searching for? Thanks, pbm
Re: Please help with the search fea For example, if I'm trying to find posts on removing transunion inquiries and I type in: transunion inquiries as the search word, I get all posts that have those two words contained in them. If I "transunion inquiries" in quotes, I will only get exact match results, so if there's a thread that says something like, "Removing inquiries from TU" it won't come up in an exact phrase search. I was wondering if it is possible to search only in the subject lines of posts for specific words and phrases. I appreciate this forum more than you know and thank you for providing it.
Re: Please help with the search fea Assuming you are using the 'Search' button in the menu bar above to access the search feture, try the following: transunion AND inquiries Here are the results using variations on the search: transunion inquiries = 135 hits (either/or, same as transunion OR inquiries) transunion AND inquiries = 111 hits (both terms appear in same post) "transunion inquiries" = 9 hits (exact match) Also, try searching for variations on spelling (in this case could be inquires) as spelling mistakes or typos are not uncommon. Hope this helps! pbm
