I'm trying to get a paid collection off of my CR's. I disputed with the Credit Bureau's and sent DV to the collection company. I received the following letter.

    Dear Mr. XXXX

In response to your inquires, this letter is to certify that the account listed under the name of (me), SSN# has been satisfied. This collection account had been placed with RSO(formerly Accent Service Company), under our account number xxxxxxx, and was listed with RCO in March 2002 for ($money amount) by Sprint LTD. The account was paid in full on 9/30/02---via payments directly to Sprint. The three major credit bureau's have been updated to show this account as being paid in full.

If your require further assistance...blah, blah, blah

First of all, when I sent DV to them, I asked for how this was paid because I didn't pay it. I request a copy of check receipt or what type of payment form this was in.

Second of all the payments were made directly to sprint. So how can they report this, when they state no money was paid to them.

Third, I looked up their licensing and In Nebraska they aren't listed on the current list.

I think ought of all of this number two is really a good point. Can I get some group knowledge on what's my next move?

Was the account your account, or someone else's account? Are you trying to show that it is someone else's account and so shouldn't be on your report, or are you trying to show an older delinquency date to get it to age off?
