I disputed a BAL. on my CR. The OC sent me a letter stateing that they are unable to determine my responsibility for account, and are informing the CRA's to list it as disputed on my CR pending further investigation. What can I do to get it REMOVED?????? Will BE Thankful For Any Help!!!! brebadc
You never said what your original goal was, whether it's not your account or you just want the OC to report the balance correctly, are you looking to get it deleted ? You need to be more specific.
5yrs ago I verbally negotiated a settlement with USA. I did everything that we agreed to do in the time frame we agreed to do it. I thought then that everything was over and done with. It was very naive of me to think that they would do the same. When I pulled my credit report in January, I was surprised to see this account listed with a balance. I disputed the BAL. with the CRA's. What I have received so far is the above letter from First USA. This Account is well beyond SOL and I feel I do not owe anything more to First USA or any CA's that might try to bother me about it. My question is how do I dispute it off my credit report when I have already disputed the balance owed? Grateful for any IDEA'S!!!! brebadc
This is common with First Usa. Send a copy of the letter you received from First Usa to the CRAs and demand deletion. It worked for me. Greg
