I have seen a couple of threads on how Experian removes disputed items from the FICO formula and adds a notation to each disputed entry "consumer disputes, reinvestigation in progress." I have seen this in my case, so I can report that if it is indeed in dispute a new report will clearly say so. My question is with Transunion. I disputed the same items and see no notations at all. Is there a chance these items are not actually being currently investigated? Both CRA disputes were initiated on the same day via the phone. (I realize I have no proof I requested an investigation) I may have to request again, but understand I should not contact TU until the 30 days is up, unless I want the investigation to take 15 to 30 days longer. Is there any way to tell if items from TU and exp are in dispute status currently?
TU 's software is so outdated that it is not capable of marking those items as in dispute. It is a violation to not mark it, but apparently they could care less. Experian via Creditexpert will have the disputed items highlighted in blue and says something like "currently under investigation".
