Ok I have figured out that there is no green card coming back for this one CA because the address was a PO Box. But I did certify it and request a return receipt. I know that I can check online with the certification # to see that it was delivered. Any advice?
-edited- sorry I thought you said CRA ) They are probably just refusing to pick up the CRRR. Try sending it to them with the simple word "PAYMENT" on the outside of the envelope (after all, you're not lying...your validation does concern payment ). -Peace, Dave
Always make sure your write "Return Receipt Requested" under your return address. It lets the PO know their is a green card on the back. This is outlined in the postal reg. manual.
yep...or make sure the sending PO stamps the front of your mailpiece with "RETURN RECIEPT REQUESTED". They have red stamps for that purpose. If you don't mind blowing some extra bucks, you could try sending your items using the signature confirmation service. There's no green card but you get proof of delivery that's just as good or (IMHO) better than the green card: whoever signs for the item has his/her signature scanned into the USPS system. You check delivery status online or by phone. A day or so after delivery, you can request a confirmation and the USPS computer will fax you the proof of delivery letter complete with the signature.
Hmm, Well I sent it certified and return receipt requested. I read on the certified that that alone can track the letter and show whether delivered or not. Is that enough proof?
