Just wondering how many points are taken of your score per inquiry?? I read another board and some said around 2 or so, then someone else said 10-15 points, which made me laugh, b/c if that were the case my actual score before inquires would be skyrocketing LOL. Thanks

I've heard 10 but after so many they don't count any more. Mine would be skyrocketing also. Not sure at what point they are suppose to stop counting.

    Anyone know?

You can generally expect that each inquiry is worth 1-2 points. I'm basing that on discussions with a couple of loan officers, but as for the real value, who knows.

JP is right. Usually one to two points per inquiry. I just closed a mortgage back in January and my loan officer told me the same thing. Never more than two points per inquiry.
