    Hi,
My name is Pen, I must say I have enjoyed reading a few of these threads. I need help. Call me crazy. Yes, I too have poor credit. I am embrassed to admit it, but after looking at my scores it's time for a change. I have 2 paid charge off (1 with Lvnv with a 0 balance in which I made a settlement and Texas Guaranted Student Loan 0 balance paid charge off) and 1 Tax Lien which was paid 9/05 my question is, could these items be deleted? Please help me.

The tax lien can report for 7 years from date PAID...

The other two - you don't say how old they are, would need to know the date you first became delinquent and never caught up. (In the case of LVNV the date you first became delinquent with the original creditor).

LVNV date open on credit report was 10/2004 with a high credit of $3,736.00 I paid $2,600 on 1/2006. LVNV( this account was orginally with Sears open date was 3/1994 closed in4/2003 and then sent collections with LVNV) This account went into collections on 6/2003 to LVNV and finally 12/2003 it went the Attoney office. I felt threathen that why I made a settlement. Now the credit report shows a 0 balance but a closing date of 1/2006. I guess I didn't know better. Wish I could have found this site earlier this year. Thanks for being concern.

My other account is with Texas Guarranteed Student Loan. This loan was orginallly with SalleMae open date was 1/1995.I defaulted on this loan in 2/1999. It was sent to Texas guarranteed. The open date is 8/2001 and the closed date is 12/2002. This is a paid/collection account U.S Department of Education paid off Texas Guarranted. Yes I have tried to get this item deleted. I was told it would not be deleted until 2009.
So, what do u think? Is it possible?
    Hopeless

If you defaulted in 2/99 it should have fallen off 2/06. How have you tried to get this deleted? Who told you it would be deleted in 09?

Does anyone know if TX GSL is a CA or a branch of SM? I'm sorry - I have -0- experience with student loans and all the alphabetical gov't entities.
