How does one go about getting accurate positive tradelines reported and/or duplicated across all 3 reports? Is it better to go through the CRA or the creditor? Specifically: -I have several old positive and closed tradelines that show up on one or two reports, but not all three. I'd love to have all three reflect these. I'm sure I no longer have any paperwork regarding the accounts. -I have an 18-month Citi CC that has not reported at all. I've faxed their credit affairs department twice asking them to report, to no avail. Thanks!
Can anyone help on this? Especially concerning Citibank, I've faxed the credit department, twice, which is what their customer service folks recommend, twice, to no avail. No one will give me a phone number to the credit dept. Thanks!
Are you sending it to a particular person or just the dept in general? I'd get a name of a specific person and make them responsible for helping you. and make it a manager. then fax it to THEM and mail it certified, return receipt requested. Also, get something for your trouble. Line increase, better terms. Shame on them for not yet correcting it... but leave them a way to feel good about it by helping you fix the account and give you better terms. ask why it hasn't reported and what will make sure it will report. If you can get it to report just once you could max the account and never have it updated... then have it updated at the 2 and 3 year points. could be a blessing if they update you with 0 balance
I just found this thread. Citi doesn't report? I am counting on my new card posting sometime this month so that I can get the benefit of the age when it hits the 6 month mark! cariba
