Possible "split" TU File?

    Hey, everyone!

    Has anyone experienced this:

My mortgage account has finally begun reporting on my TransUnion and Experian CRs. I got copies of each, but to my surprise, my TU report no longer shows any of my "bad" information. The "good" accounts are still there, but my BK and 3 other negative accounts are gone (as well as all inquiries)!!

Do you think my file is split? Or did I just stumble upon some REALLY good fortune with TU?

Feedback, anyone!! BTW, my fake TU score is up to 750, from 609 in November.

    Thanks,

I had 3 split files with tu.

The only way I knew 2 of them were different was by looking in the upper right hand corner of the first page where it says: You have been in our files since:

One of my reports (the right one) said early 90's. The others said 2000 and 2002. But all of the info came in, for the most part, under the right one. Some old baddies were on 1 and a jumbling of both on the other.

Generous tu fixed my reports, which, in a way, I'm glad so that there are no suprises and I get the whole picture. Of course, had 3 big baddies deled and NO score increase :( grrrrrrrrr.

I suppose it is possible... I had that happen with Equifaxseveral years ago, I ended up with two files. I was told it was because my file was so large they had to split it. Took about a year to consolidate the blasted thing; was such a mess!

Thank you - I have given myself a window in which old information (including my BK) will drop off (about 2 years), so I applied to Chase for a MC (I understand they pull TU) to see what they say. If they decline me, I am interested in the reasons they give, so I can find out what they see.

I signed on to Worthknowing.com because I know they pull TU for credit scores and--yep, my file was split! The info on Worthknowing.com was more accurate than on my credit report from TU.

I called TU and once I gave the rep my name and SSN, there was dead silence for about two minutes (I thought he had disconnected!!)...he eventually told me that he was taking so long because my file was split and he was merging it back together.

It's a bummer because all the negative stuff is still there, but it's OK because I'll have a more accurate TU report again.

    Thanks, guys!

    Speaking of split file...

I have been on the phone with tu all morning. See, I pulled my WK report...and my bk disappeared. Well, thought I had another split file, so I asked TU. Nope, no split. Now, I asked her which copy she was looking at. She said it was dated from last week (it was same report they sent to me via mail for my results last week). Of course, I have this report at home and bk is still there. I asked if she could look at what I pulled today. She said no, because I have 1 item in dispute (started on 2/6). Then she says maybe I didn't get the whole report. I told her I pulled it from tu's site. So, still trying to fig this one out. FACO shot up 79 points without bk reporting!

There are no inqs or anything, but ALL credit info is right. Only thing missing is bk, previous address, and maiden name and inqs. I'm sure they will come back, though.

Haha...joke of the day...any score driven cc's that oull tu?
