    Hello creditnetters,

I am Back, after a long break. I am searching for creditors who would be willing to finance a consumer post Ch 7 discharge. The discharge is almost a year old.

I hear that Ford is Bk friendly. Also, I am in the process of disputing my credit report to ensure all of the creditors reflect a discharged status.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

NanaC, I am trying to contact you.

Hi!I think that a car loan is not as difficult to get if you have previous car loans on your credit and they are shown as paid . I bought a new Trailblazer when I had been discharged less than a year from a ch 13.
I had 2 previous loans from GMAC that had been paid in full and a Ford motor credit loan that had been included in the ch 13. I paid 7 percent interest.
My FICO scores were all right at 650.
Good luck! I hope you get the car yu wan and need!

    Reshod,

Both my boyfriend and I claimed Chapter 7 BK; his was discharged in Jan. 2003. Two months later, he purchased an SUV with financing through Americredit at 16%.

He refinanced for 11.95% with WFS Financial about September of 2004 (need to try one more time, maybe with Patelco).

My BK7 was discharged Sept. 2003. I purchased an SUV November 2004 with 16% through Triad Financial Services.

Last week, I refinanced the loan through Patelco Credit Union for only 4.2%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our scores are only high 500's to low 600's; we're STILL working on cleaning up our reports.
