I received a pre-approved offer today for a State Farm Platinum Visa with an APR of 10.9% plus 15 State Farm Dollars when you use the card for the first time. I was wandering if anyone knows which CR they pull in the New York area and how are they in terms of their credit line offering?

They pulled TU for me in OH, got a decent line from them but at 10.9 with no teasers dont carry a balance often. I did notice that if you pay more than the minimum they dont require a payment for the next month. They dont have on line payments. The big bonus would be in the SF rewards program can use to pay your insurance etc.. Good luck
They pulled credit report from Experian where I live in Texas. They approved me for $5000 and I asked for limit increase two time and now the credit limit of the card is $10,000. Ron.
I have this card since 12/2001 and I didn't use it too much. I request limit increase and they increased my limit without pulling hard inquiry on my credit report. I think they did review on the account. Ron.
Thanks, Ron I've decided to hold off until Dec. 31st (the offer is good until then) because State Farm couldn't tell me which CR they're going to pull!

By the way, there is no instant approval and it took them a day to approve your application if you apply on the web. It wasn't tough when I applied two yrs ago. Ron.

Re: Re: Pre-approved offer from SFB That's what I'm afraid of! I have accumulated quite a few inquires on my Experian report in the past year. I 'hear you loud' and clear George! I really don't plan on revolving a balance with this card, if I do apply. Thanks for the warning all the same.
