Does pre-selected actually mean anything? I get pre-approved offers that have always panned out. I got an offer for "pre-selected" Cap One Business Card today, I hate to waste an inquiry if this doesn't mean anything. Thanks!

It means "we're trying to fool you into thinking you're preapproved"

    Sarcasm...

    "PRE-SELECTED" to apply...

No better than just applying on-line or mailing an application.

    "PRE-APPROVED" to apply...everybody is "PRE-APPROVED" to apply.

I think it is about like the car lots running a HUGE ad in the paper that says 100% of applications accepted. No $hit. Why wouldn't they be accepted? But do you know how many people read this as 100% of applications approved?

Pre-select may be loosen up the criteria or the requiremnt for approving the credit card. It may be easier to get the card. They still check your credit before they sent you the card.
