I just received an preapproved offer for an Amex Green but didn't think my scores were quite high enough. Does anybody know what scores it takes to qualify?
DOES IT REALLY SAY---->PRE-APPROVED??? It should be a HIGHER chance for approval than "MOST" other cards... Pay in full every month...and with an ANNUAL FEE to boot!!! I would rather pay $60.00 or $85.00 for UNITED VISA Or $85.00 for AMEX DELTA GOLD ...and PAY IN FULL
Go for it. My wife (EQ 678) got pre-approved gold rewards card; she applied and got it with a 4500K limit 4-weeks later. I never get anything AMEX pre-approved even though my FICO is higher than wifes due to a BK on my report. **Still in shock GEORGE is in the 600 club; unreal.
I assume that Amex will pull score(s) if I reply to the preapproved "invitation". Does anybody know which CRA(s) they pull from?
Oh yes. They will pull a CR to be sure. They pulled only one (EQ; We live in SF) for the offer my wife received.
I got the pre-approved Green offer about a year ago. They pulled Equifax, which was somewhere around 680 to 700 at the time. I do have an AMEX corporate card with them (through my company - this one never hits my CR, but I pay the bill) with no late payments of any sort in 4+ years.
