I just got a call from a woman who said she was from Premier one and said because I filled out an application with the CO (Actually it was with First Premier) that I would get a new mastercard in the mail with 0%intro finanacing, a cell phone , and a couple of othe things I cannot remember and all I had to do was pay the $159.00 fee to activate the card OVER THE PHONE!!! I said it sounds interesting but I would need to see some wriiten information about the terms and conditions. She said "I'm sorry but because it is not cost effective to send out anything in writing because people usually ignore it, we need to get payment up front over the phone. I said "I won't throw the information away" She said "Sorry, I am just a representative. I said"Sorry maybe you can reconsider me in the future" Who are these people? Have any experience with them? My gut tells me hanging up was the best thing to do.
You did good by hanging up the phone. Any company that cannot send you printed info. has to be a scam type operation. Plus they wanted the fee up front. It probably cost more for the phone call than it would have cost to send you the info you wanted.
IT IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not give these people money!! Advantage capital, Capital first, & Premier One are all the same company and they're not really issuing you a credit card! It's pay-as-you-go and it has a ton of weird fees. read more: http://www.ripoffreport.com/view.asp?id=26798
