Prime Cards

    Hello all,

    Just wondering if I could get some info.

    What credit cards are considered prime?

    I have Emerge, Providian & Cap 1. I am trying to phase them out. I applied for Chase this week and got approved. I think I read where Chase is considered prime. Any others I should eventually consider?

    You are correct about Chase; they are a prime card. Other good cards to look at include:

    Any of the Citibank line of cards (Platinum select, etc)
    Bank of America (out of all the cards, they have been wonderful about increasing credit lines, decreasing interest rates, etc)

    There are of course many other cards out there, but these are some that I've had the most positive experiences from in the last few years. Good luck on your prime journey!
