Just a quick question here. I used my Privacy guard 2 days ago and two Providian accounts I disputed with Equifax were gone. I was really pumped. Yesterday I got a letter from Eq about a collection account they verified and both Providians were listed as being in dispute. Needless to say I am not very happy! So does PG does take those items off when they are in dispute and then reinsert or do you think I just haven't received the good word from EQ yet????Thanks in advance!
I'M NOT AN EXPERT ON PG...have had it only for a few weeks...BUT I WOULD "THINK" THEY WOULD ONLY USE WHAT THEY GET DIRECTLY FROM THE CRA'S...WHY WOULD THEY ADD OR DELETE ANYTHING??? They are just a 3rd party giving you credit reports that they SELL YOU AT A PROFIT...
When I've disputed things, they are still present on PG. When they're gone on PG, they're gone on my true reports.
Re: Re: Privacy Guard deletion??? Same here. In fact, on PG items I have in dispute show no evidence of actually being in dispute. The disputed accounts just show up as normal.
Re: Re: Privacy Guard deletion??? I hope you guys are right! Thanks. I will repost when I get news. Incedently, my score dropped according to PG when I got these two items removed. They were charge offs from about a year ago. I dont care what that score says, because my future mortgage company says my interest rate is a lot lower with these things off my report!
Re: Re: Re: Privacy Guard deletion??? Yeah, thats one of the quirks with the RNG over at FICO. Same happened to me. In fact, my clean report currently is my lowest score. Lost several accounts that were ~5 years old. All charge-offs but they added to my average age of accounts. It takes a little while to bounce back, but you will eventually.
