    ugh.

I have been a real advocate for privacy guard, here and in "real" life.
There's not much activity on my reports, so I called within my 90-day free trial to cancel ... the woman told me that my account really wouldn't close for another month and I could continue using it.

My husband's reports have much more activity on them so I decided that I would pay the $89.99 for a year with privacy guard to continue monitoring and, in a way, throw them a bone since they had such a great deal of $1 for three months.

well today i got charged today for my account ... the one that was supposed to be closed.
So I call back to get it resolved and I get a customer service rep who was very rude. She cancelled the order and gave me a confirmation number, said my account would be credited in 10 to 15 business days. Then I asked "so I can call back if its not cancelled in 15 days" and she said "it WILL be cancelled." And then I said, like I do for all orders/cancellations over the phone "can I get your name" she shouted a first name at me and hung up.

sorry for the rambling but I am pretty ticked.
It makes me want to cancel DH's too but I need to keep an eye on things.
I'm just disappointed I guess since I was such a strong supporter of this company.

    *whew* felt good to vent!
    thanks for letting me!

    peace,
    delilah

Yeah, it's amazing how one human being can have an such a large effect for good or bad on another human being.

Call PG back until you talk to someone nice. Like maybe the rude person's supervisor. But then again, maybe the CSR has to deal with a rude Supervisor.

PG seems to be the best thing in town for bumpage.

I find forgiving others easy, now if I could only forgive myself. LOL

    That's a shame.

I had no problem at all cancelling PG. I was expecting the "hard sell" to try to keep me in, but the guy just said thanks for the call, you're out of the system.

And I was. Total time on phone, maybe 2 minutes.

i applaud your thoughts on throwing pg a bone... but just incase you are interested... i hear that if you sign up again using another credit card number, you can get another 3 months for a buck. haven't tried this myself, but it's worth a shot.

well since I bashed them i should go ahead and post this, too ...

the $89.99 was put back on my card less than a week later.

So they did hold true to their word.
The rep still was a little rude, but since it worked out in the end I think I have to go back to touting their product.
    yea, Privacyguard!

    peace,
