I thought this should get a new thread as it is important information: I just received a privacy notice concerning privacy issues and your personal, private, and sensitive information in my last Cap1 statement. Here is an excerpt: SAFEGUARDING YOUR PRIVACY Your opt-out choices You may tell us not to: - disclose information about you outside our corporate group of companies except where required by law. - Disclose credit data (financial data from CRA's) - solicit you by mail, telephone, or email for products that are not directly related to your account TO OPT OUT call toll free 1(888) 817-2970 HEARING IMPAIRED 1(800) 206-7986 or by Internet: Http://preferences.capitalone.com The Internet link appears to be for opting out of email spam, but I did not go through the whole process, you may be able to opt-out of everything that way...I would call the toll free number though to be sure you are truly "opted out" -Peace, Dave
