I signed up for privacyGuard yesterday, pulled a report, and decided I didn't like privacy guard. So I decided to sign up for Equifax Gold. I pulled an equifax report, and what do I see? A hard inquiry from consumerinfo.com! Has anyone had to deal with this and got the hard inquiry off?
I am fairly certain it is NOT a hard, although it no longer shows the "CD" (consumer disclosure) code in front of it. But rather than take my word for it, perhaps you can call EQ (the # they give as part of the CWG plan) to verify it with them. A more costly way to confirm it would be to pull your EQ report w/ FICO score (at EQ or myFICO) and see what they list for hard inquiries. HTH
I have been pulling pg for 2 & 1/2 months and back in the beginning of May, they did have a problem. There were about 3 days when anyone pulled their report it would put a hard inq on TU. PG was flooded with calls & emails about this. They eventually got it cleared up and had all of the hard inq's removed. They do show up as a soft inq on EQ and, if you are lucky enough, with enough pulls, you may get some bumpage. paw67
I did call EFX and it turns out that it is indeed a soft.. even though it doesn't have CD in front of it. I definitely looking forward to getting bumpage. Now that I've signed up for both EFX Gold and the privacy guard trial, I'd hope my 3 hards would be gone before my privacy guard trial is over.
FYI, my CWG total of softs on 6/11 was 122. My CWG total of softs on 6/12 was 127. This morning, I pulled PG and find my EQ hards has dropped from 4 to 3 ! Can't say the "B" word, don't want to jinx myself !
