About a year ago, I disputed and had removed several collections from various companies. Now, just about a week ago, I joined PrivacyGuard only to have 4 collections reappear last week on a couple different CRA's...Two from 1996 stating last activity is 03/2003!!!

The strange this is I've had EXP's CreditWatch and EQFX's CreditExpert for about a year and no issues.

Has anyone else had this happen and what did you do about it?

Try pulling the report directly from the CRAs. The accounts may have been re-inserted by the creditor/ca. I've read that this is not something new. It happens.

I happened to pulled two EQ at the same time. One was from Consumerinfo.com and the other was from Creditwatch. Guess what, they are different. Creditwatch showed some weird closed accounts which I don't recall to be mine.

    ???? I can't see why????

Who else has experience on these issues?

I've never had to deal with reinsertion. Maybe I should call out BUTCH to seek his advice?!?

    What to do about reinsertion?

if they didn't notify you in 5 days before re-insert, then send them nasty letter saying they didn't and they are in violation....

Even if they sent you a notice....they can't prove they sent it. They don't send them CMRRR so I would send a demand letter anyway.

This is one topic that has been hashed out over and over again on this forum. A search should get you tons of information on how to deal with this problem. In fact, search for threads by my user name and I have some great threads on how I handled this last year, and it was also with Equifax.
