I found out they increase the credit limit of my Private Issue card and they increased from $10,000 to $12,000. It is the highest limit card that I have.

What is the Private Issue card? Who issues it? How hard is it to get?

    Karen,
Private Issue is type of Discover Platinium Card and it is issued by Discover Bank. I don't know how hard it was and I was approved in the first time. At that time, I already have Discover Platinium Card,Discover Gold, Smithsonian Card (Novus) and Universal Studios Card(Novus). They don't have any on-line approval or on-line application. You have to call 1-800-4-PICARD to apply. The Private Issue Card is used like Discover Card and they accepted wherever the Discovercard is accepted. The APR is 11.9% APR.

    Cashback Bonus® Award
My Discover Private Issue Card has the Cashback Bonus® award financial option. How is my Cashback Bonus award calculated?

The accrued amount of a Cashback Bonus award is calculated by multiplying the total qualified purchases at the end of each billing period by:

.25% (.0025), if the purchases are part of the first $1,000 in purchases during the anniversary year, or, if the purchases are made at select warehouse clubs or discount stores, and
.50% (.0050), if the purchases are part of the second $1,000 in purchases during the anniversary year, and
.75% (.0075) if the purchases are part of the third through fourth $1,000 in purchases during the anniversary year, and
1.0% (.01), if the purchases are part of the purchases in excess of $4,000 during the anniversary year.

All purchases made at BJ's Wholesale Club and Sam's Club (including Samsclub.com) and, as of March 1, 2002, Wal-Mart (including Walmart.com) will accrue a fixed rate of .25% (.0025). However, purchases made at these warehouse clubs and discount store gas stations will not be subject to this fixed rate and will continue to accrue a Cashback Bonus award of up to 1% based on your annual level and type of purchases.

See the Cashback Bonus Terms and Conditions for additional information
