    Recieved this email today...

    Dear Valued Privista Customer,

More than two years ago, Privista formed a strategic alliance with Equifax to provide Internet users with the credit management and privacy tools they need to protect their personal data and safeguard against identity theft. Now, Privista has been acquired by Equifax, our sole provider of credit information.

As a leader in information technology, and a responsible steward of information, Equifax has managed sensitive and confidential information for consumers and businesses for 103 years.

So what does this acquisition mean for you? Everything remains the same you will log in to the same Web site, use the same user ID and password, receive your weekly alerts from the same place, and send questions to the same e-mail address through the end of your current contract.

For your convenience, Privista has transferred your personal account information to Equifax. This transfer is necessary to ensure uninterrupted service to you. Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us, and Equifax will fully comply with the Privista policy that applies to your personal information. If you do not approve of your account information being transferred to Equifax, you can ask us to cancel your account by contacting us at customersupport@privista.com.

You have known Equifax as our strategic partner now there will be some new products and services as a result of this relationship. Please be on the lookout for more details in the near future.

We look forward to continuing to serve you and provide you with quality products under the Equifax brand. As always, thank you for your business and trust.

    Sincerely,

    Privista Representative Equifax Representative

I subscribe to Privista because i am ETERNALLY LOCKED OUT of CW. This alliance seems to be a conflict of interest because CW offers a FICO score while Privista's score is generated by CreditXpert! We'll have to wait and see what happens next....

    Any other thoughts??

javan, I feel your pain:[ Because I too have been ETERNALLY LOCKED OUT of CW. I have not signed with Privista because their scoring is not EQ's and that is the information I would be willing to pay for. I do feel discriminated against, or at least in the minorty of the general public. I can't get my CW or my DH's, but EQ doesn't mind giving us Scorepower at 12.95 a shot or offering me the CW product repeatedly. Seems they must hire IT people using the strict personell guidelines that they use for their customer service reps...they breath

Keep us posted. Maybe Privista knows something about data transferal and servers that EQ doesn't and will give up some of their secrets
