Problem with TU

    I dont know if any of you have ever had this problem but I will ask anyway.

    I tried to get my TU report twice in the past two weeks...they ask you 3 questions to verify that you are who you say you are. I answered all 3 questions the same exact way both times and both times they were unable to verify my identity. I even used a 6/5/02 copy of my TU report to answer the questions. I believe my answers to be correct and according to the 6/5 report...they are.

    Is it possible that dates accounts were opened have changed since that last report?

    The 1st question asked about a possible account opened in a certain year...they asked me the credit line - So I answered that it did not apply. I looked through my whole TU report and didnt see that account opened in that year.

    The 2nd question asked about a possible mortgage and how much it was - I have never had a mortgage, so I answered did not apply.

    The 3rd questions asked about a possible installment loan opened in a certain year - again...I could not find any relevant information regarding any type of loan opened in that specific year.

    This is the most frustrating thing to deal with. I am dying to know my TU score and obviously at one point the questions were different because I do have a report from the beginning of June. I am 100% positive that I am answering the questions correctly.

    Has anyone else ever had this problem?

    What can I do about this? I emailed customer service about the problem but of course you have to wait until the next business day.

    Does anyone have a phone number where I can talk to a live person at TU...I only have the automated 800 number to order a report over the phone.

    Maybe you have two files?

    Have you tried Worthknowing? See what's on there....

    Your not the only one that has that problem, a lot of others do as well, including me. Everytime it'd ask me about a installment loan and a mortage. I've never had either so I"d select does not apply. Well just like with you i'd tell me that I could not see my file because they could not verify my identity. I just called and requested that my credit report be sent to me, along with my score. We'll see if that ever arrives. Also the last time I tried to get my score online it tells me "YOU ARE BLOCKED."

    Me too! Have had the identity thing off and on for a while. It is just hit and miss. I get blocked for a few weeks then get on for a few and the information stays the same so I know it is not me entering the wrong info.

    I have been able to get my TU report in the past...the last one I pulled was June 5th...I think the questions were different at that time though.

    I will try WorthKnowing and see what that says...I never knew about this site...Thanks!

    I Just tried to pull mine again - Gave me the 'ol we cannot verify your identity, you have been blocked. Their online system must really suck..

    Geez...Im glad Im not the only one! Every time I get this, it blocks me out for a week. I tried to submit my question to customer service, lets see what they have to say...hopefully they get back to me tomorrow.

    I have always answered my questions accurately and I have never gotten a report online since I started geeting TU reports. They block me everytime. I always have to do it via snail-mail. I think part of the problem in some cases is that if TU has incorrect information and you type in correct information they read it ias incorrect. It is crazy I know but that is the only explaination I can think of. For instance before ordering Creditexpert , I pulled out my 3-in-1 file and typed in the way they mispelled my address. I got though to them doing it this way.

    Ive had the exact same problem for two months. Every 7 days, I try it again. This time, when it blocked my identity. I kept clicking through anyway, then it said I would receive a report by mail sent to the address shown on my credit report. I had already seen my worthknowing report, and the address worthknowing says TU has is not my correct address. So, I guess someone gets to see my credit report. Maybe I could stop by that address and pick it up when they're through having a good laugh.

    By the way, I entered everything on the TU site exactly as it appeared on my worthknowing report, and still didn't get through. TU has serious blockage problems. George, could this be a mutant strain of RNG?

    Maybe those of us who are blocked are not worthknowing.

    lyttlemac (worthknowing score = 5 - and, no, that's not a typo). I think they gave me credit for not being dead.

    Hell Feel lucky! I couldn't even get my report thru worhtknowing.com it too told me they couldnt verify me....

    I got 100 when everybody HERE had a 5...

    Now I can't get above 59...

    BUT IT IS SOMETHING TO GO ON...AND IT IS FREE...
