I had posted that my FICO dropped dramatically after a 90 day late fell off my report. Well I just got my hubby's report and he went down 12 points - and all that changed as far as accounts was that 90 day late dropping off. But - I did notice that we now have a promotional block on our reports (I called the 800 #). Could we be being penalized for that? My Experian score went down 20 points also after I did this, although my husband's score did not budge after doing this. I haven't checked TU. I just thought maybe we're being penalized for not letting them sell our info so they deduct some points?? Is that possible? I'm just grasping for any tangible reason for me to lose 18 points overnight with no account updates (balances, etc. inquiries, etc.) Anyway... anyone have any thoughts or experience with this? Ozzy.
