I want to send a nutcase letter to Chrysler because they are inaccurately reporting a paid repossesion. The car was voluntarily surrendered in november of 1997 and they are reporting on my credit report that it was surrendered in february of 1998. Further, I was told not by Chrysler but by the collector representing Chrysler that upon payment they would change the rating and no one would know it was ever repossesed. Of course once they got the money they just marked the account voluntarily reppossed account settled. Here is my question: I have no documentation proving when I turned in the car. Do you think I should call them up and ask nicely for this information (just for my records) and then go nutcase on them?
