I got another question for the Jedi counsel. Providean is now reporting this on my file with EQ. I'll give you a bit of history. This account is about the same as the last one I asked about. I got it when I was 19, charged it up and never made a payment. Since then I've moved and they don't have any address for me. The balance in 8/2003 was also $939 and I disputed it online as not mine. The following month they reported the balance as 0 and changed the comments to what you see below.

    Balance: $0
    Date Reported: 09/2003

    Account Closed By Credit Grantor

I'm wondering what they are doing with it? Did they sell it to a CA? I haven't seen any new collection accounts on my report. Are they going to sue me? The actual balance and limit of what I bought was $500, the rest are fees.

What I'm asking basically is, should I re-establish contact, or should I leave well enough alone. Should I dispute it farther and risk them changing the balance back to $939? I have 2 years left to meet the statute of limitations. I have about $25,000 of positive accounts on my report now, about $10000 of that are closed in good standing. and I have this one and another that are still negative and they're killing me. I actually got 5-6 accounts from the indiscretions of my youth dropped off, and I've changed my attitude quite a bit towards debt and payment of debt. I just want to be able to get the credit that I deserve, and not be persecuted for the things I did when I was a kid.

Another question I have, both the negative accounts I have are bad. They really hurt me. Should I submit a statement to say that both of these things have happened before I joined the millitary and since then I have had nothing negative? Or would that make it worse.

    My email is rhomat27@beawrestling.com

Again, thanks in advance for your help.
