Does anyone know if the providian and Cap1 cards are easy to get? Is there a specific one of their cards that is easy to get? Is there a site to go to?
I applied for the Cap1 secured and got it no questions asked. My credit report was AWFUL!! It is I guess partially secured, sent $99 received 500 CL. About 9 months later they sent me preapproved for the platinum, I applied thinking I would get maybe 1000 CL at the most LOL nope the idiots gave me 7500 CL - and I still had ALL the baddies still on my report. BTW the secured card does not report as secured. www.capitalone.com is their website, but I have never seen the unsecured application there.
I have both Cap1 and Providian...I received the Cap1 secured card 1 month after my discharge in September 2002. I was approved for the card...sent them $99 and received a $500 credit limit. I was just recently approved for $1000 Orchard Bank unsecured card and $2000 Providian Platinum unsecured. My scores are currently between 624-640.
