Just wondering if anyone has had any success disputing capital one and providian. I only have them listed (two accounts each) on my equifax as negative and for some reason equifax won't let me dispute them online. I managed to get everything else negative(except one that i gave up on because it's going to fall off by itself in less than a year anyway). I seen my scores go from 428 at this time last year to 592 but now my FICO only creeps up eight or ten points a month(time heals most credit wounds I guess) If I could manage to get those pesky credit cards off I know my score would jump. I disputed only the payment history on my old providian account. (It was 'closed by credit grantor' about 1.5 years ago and paid off). Experian and Equifax deleted the tradeline entirely. I expect TransUnion to do the same when their investigation finishes. I have two current Capital One accounts and I disputed the payment history on them. One has come back verified on all three reports and the other is still under investigation. HTH, Brett
