Providian reported Q1 earning this morning and charge-off rate is very high"the managed net credit loss rate in the Q1 was 9.34%,the 30+ day delinquency rate was 7.64% at quarter end.....".
those are big numbers--more than twice the rate of most cc companies. Now I understand the 23.99 rate with no grace period.
