Hello, I am new to this board and I would like to know if anyone has a sucessful strategy for removing a Providian Chargeoff. The chargeoff has been settled but they refused to delete. The problem that I have is the repor is showin that I have been late several times, when I haven't. Everytime that I dispute it keeps coming back verified. Should I now send out a "nutcase letter" or what? Thanks for your hep!!
A Providian charge off I had was my first thing deleted when I discovered this board. I just disputed it online with EQ/TU/EXP and it came right off. It was from 1999 (I did this in 2003) and had been sold to CA that never contacted me....so, my situation is different than yours, plus mine was unpaid. Dispute it online and see what happens.
