Providian has just given me a 1.5k CLI without me asking. The last CLI I have gotten from them was a year ago for $60.00 It appears that the BT I did from Amex Blue help trigger the large CLI boost. So my Providian Plt. CL stands at the somewhat odd amount of $8360.00 which makes this my 2nd highest cc CL. I am starting to see the affects of what prime cc accounts can do even to a sub-prime account. You think Providian is starting to smell the coffee? I Do plan on cancelling my other Providian cc account next month as this has a joke of a CL, 1.7k. Best regards, Mirage
I think at 12-months accounts are reviewed for increases. I don't deny though that the BT triggered an extra "incentive" for you to stick around. I'd be on the lookout for more stuff coming from Providian if they think your about to close the account in lieu of a better card which you seem to have as of late.
