The board has come through one more time. I am soooo happy this morning. I had a paid chargeoff account with Providian from 1999. I have disputed it several times and comes back verified. I decided to write a letter and fax it their Credit Bureau Desk explaining the circumstances that led to the chargeoff. I knew I was reaching but what the heck, I had nothing to loose so I gave it a shot. Today, I got a letter stating they will contact the cra to get the account deleted from my record. I am sooo geeked about it. Thanks to everyone on this board for the inspirational stories.
That is awesome. A BIG CONGRATS!! Providian has been sticklers about not changing info they reported to the bureaus. What an accomplishment.
could you possibly provide any addtional details. What was the situation and what pursuaisive techniques did you use? A Prov. chargeoff is one of my last items to remove (from 97). Any info would be helpful. Thanks, and congrats, that is a major deletion!
I am very skeptical about posting a lot of details right now since they told me it will take about 30 days to get it removed. In light of what Lizardking revealed regarding the board being watched, I will like to get it officially removed before I post a lot of details. Sorry about that.
