I really need someones help. I am trying to get a Providian Account deleted from one of my credit reports. I have disputed it and it keeps comming back as verified. I owe $1200 including the $700 in fees. I will pay anything to get it removed from TU. The collection agency wants $600. If I pay it, Providian will probally report it as Settled and my score will still be lower. What can I do? What letters should I write? Should I pay it? How can I negoiate with providian for deletion? Should I use Planetfeedback? Thank you all for your help in advance.
Providian is the most difficult I've ever dealt with. They're complete jerks. They don't seem to negotiate on ANYTHING, for any reason. Sorry to be so negative, but that's been my experience. They're the only TL I haven't been able to fix/deal with.
Try sending a goodwill to this address: Providian PO Box 99607 Arlington, TX 76096 My account was charged off and it worked for me! I gave them the option to remove the negative notations or delete the account from my reports altogether. They chose the latter. Maybe I lucked up but its worth the try.
