but rallied to close at $4.35. I think when the stock drops to $3 I will jump in again and buy. Historically, before the stock run of the last few years, the stock was at or near $10 a share. I base my confidence on recent conversation with people who have a high opinion of Joseph Urbina, CEO of Providian. Also, dumping subprime is the way to go as high charge off rates are killing the cash flow.
In their heyday PVN was much higher than $10 a share. Some I bought were at $46 something, and it had been higher. Several splits. Those days are gone, LOL.
