I just now found out that providian online account also gives free fico score from transunion. It seems to be very close to real fico or it may be a real one. They may have been giving for a long time, but I found out today. I think whenever they make an enquiry they will update the score also. Is there any way to get the free report from equifax and transunion? Thanks, david1
DH has this link but it never works..so yours does???...we are jealous! We want the free score, too...LOL
I have a providian cc and setup for online payment. When I login to see the recent activity, there is a menu for credit profile which shows last month fico score. I had not seen my score last 8 months now, this will show something at least where my score is. Also it shows how many positive and negative accounts are open at present. I wonder if there is a link out there to see the free transunion and exquifax reports also.
It was a full two months after I opened my account before I was able to view a score. I'm a little skeptical of it though, because it seems to be a little high. Also, the counts they give for inquiries and available credit seem to be way off. Has anyone checked the accuracy of the Providian score against their actual FICO? The best I have done is to compare it to the known false number from Privacy Guard. The PG number was 25 points lower than Providian this month, but last month they were within 5 points. (I realize that the PG score is, at best, an indicator of movement, and not to be trusted beyond that.)
