APR 23.99% variable, increases to 25.99% variable if minimum payment is received late 2 or more times in a 6 month period. Grace Period for Purchases: At least 25 days if the New Balance is paid in full by the Payment Due Date. Can someone please explain the grace period? Is this exactly like the 25 days grace period I get from other cards or is this different? Thanks for your assistance.
The grace period is the same as the other cards you reference. I got a $3K, 25 day grace period, no annual fee, 23.9% apr. card in January.
JIm Get your interest rate down to at least 16.9. That's the good rate for the classic card. You should have at least what my classic card has Grace, huh. I'm envious
Marie You will be somewhat proud of me. I complained to providian via Planet Feedback in March about the apr. on my gold card. The apr. was reduced to 19.8%. I expect to move the apr. down again within 3-9 months. One step at a time. I pay the card off every month so no interest is paid. This card has auto rental insurance and other perks too. I enjoyed your posts on how to maximize limit increases at no cost.
Thanks Glad to see Providian is maxing profits by adding some of the programs to Aria too Ahhhhh. freee credit line increases I hope they add Health Adv soon... If it's been a month or so, call up again and say you got teased by a friend of yours (ME) for only having 19.8 when she has 16.9 and she only has a classic... if they drag their feet... Tell them you're thinking of buying something larger and you MAY want to leave a balance on the card for a couple of months but you just can't justify it at 19.8... if they offer 17.9 (they did that to me on my MC) I just teased them about why my MC should be more expensive than my Visa... I got 23.9 to 16.9 in one call. Go for it. but only call retention. Got the number???
I have the number LOL. I like your strategies. I guess i will have to push Providian a little earlier than I intended.
