Providian is driving me crazy!

    Providian sent me a pre-approved offer for a VISA SmartCard December 15, 2001. I responded and got a card with a $1,000 credit line. However, every Saturday like clockwork, I get another pre-approved offer from them. This weeks offer is number eight! I feel sorry for the trees Providian is killing!
    This offer is part of Providian's expansion into Wisconsin. Providian never accepted applications from Wisconsin residents before.

    Accept all of the offers. Each and every one of them may be valid. You are being offered an opportunity to start with multiple accounts. If they only grant one account, ask for retention and say you want to close your account.

    This way, you may have a chance to start with a credit line greater than 1k, if you so desire.
