I received a letter in the mail telling me: Due to strategic changes within our business, we will be transferring the servicing of your credit card account. You will receive more information at that time. Since the new servicer cannot service the Credit Protection Plan, we will no longer be able to offer the Credit Protection on your credit card account in a few months. Goes on to talk about credit protection info. My question is, has anyone else received this letter? Any idea as to what company will be servicing the account since it will no longer be Providian? Has anyone already been converted? Were the terms better than the terrible 29.99%? I have two cards, one that I have paid off, and the other I am paying off now, but I'd like to know what I am getting into and if I need to step up my "aggresive Providian payment plan" to the next level!
