Providian nutcase?

Hi everyone. I need some advice about how to handle some very recent lates from Providian from in 2002. They wouldn't accept payments from my CCCS, after ONE payment was only ONE day late. The CCCS tried to get them back on the plan, but they wouldn't budge. So now I'm stuck with these late payments, and they're the ones that are REALLY hurting my score:

    EQ (January - June)
    30 Days = 2
    60 Days = 2
    90 Days = 2

    EX (January - June)
    30 Days = 2
    60 Days = 2
    90 Days = 2

    TU (February to July)
    30 Days = 3
    60 Days = 2
    90 Days = 2

It's completely paid off as of this month (YAY!), and the account is closed. I've tried disputing the lates with all three CRAs numerous times, but without success. Don't think a goodwill letter will work because I've disputed before saying they were never late, and because they're so recent. Would this be a good nutcase letter situation? It's not an old account, so I wouldn't mind if it went bye bye off of all of my reports. :)

    Thanks!

    *sounds of crickets chirping*

Does anyone have any advice about this?? This would be my first nutcase, so I'm a bit wary to do so...even though it is Providian.

    Thanks!

I would try the goodwill at first (try the nice approach first), then bump it up if that does not work.

Okay, thanks for responding. :) I'll try that first.
