Has anyone been upgraded from gold to platinum? What were the circumstances and how long did you have the gold before the upgrade? What is the interest rate on the platinum card?
Probably trying to trick you into thinking anyone can get a providian platinum, so they get a lot of signups, and then offer them a 23.99% card bait and switch baby. I think offering credit cards on TV cheapens the prestige value of a card. Of course, amex is an exception.
