I have a friend that got a Providian secured card with a $250 deposit. She m0oved and sent in a change of address card to them. Either she forgot about it or neglected it I don't know. She checked her file and noticed that it had been sent to collections. She called them and explained what had happened and to apply the 250 to the balance and she would get it resolved. At this point, they became real rude saying that 250 is between her and Providian. She said to them that she would get the whole thing handled with Providian. Then, they got real rude saying that Providian wouldn't even talk to her. Isn't that against banking usury laws? Charlie
